PlayStation 2ソフトでトップの売上を誇った日本の代表的なRPG・ドラゴンクエストVIII 空と海と大地と呪われし姫君　より、特に印象的な楽曲(サウンドトラック)をピアノのメドレー、(ドラクエ8 ピアノメドレー)に仕上げました。　ドラゴンクエストシリーズは初期からすぎやまこういち氏が作曲していらっしゃいますが、自分は、特に8の内容が印象的で好きです。特に、「広い世界へ」「おおぞらをとぶ」などをおすすめします。　また、このメドレーは一部を除き、ほとんどが今村 康氏によるピアノソロアレンジです。楽譜は、ピアノ曲集 ドラゴンクエストVIII 空と海と大地と呪われし姫君 オフィシャルスコアブック すぎやまこういち 監修 の楽譜を読ませていただきました。特に戦闘曲らなどは、ピアノで弾くのは正直弾きにくいものもありました。しかしながら、今村氏の楽譜アレンジについては、すぎやまこういち氏が直々に評価していらっしゃる通り、原曲に忠実な出来となっていると感じました。

2015 8/27に3DS版のドラゴンクエスト8が発売されます。リメイク発売の記念もかねて、動画を制作しました。楽しんで聞いていただけると幸いです。

Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King, known in Japan as Dragon Quest VIII Sora to Umi to Daichi to Norowareshi Himegimi (ドラゴンクエストVIII 空と海と大地と呪われし姫君 lit.
