Agathe Backer-Grøndahl was a Norwegian pianist and composer.
This piece is another one of those lovely rare gems by an underrated composer. This graceful 'Album leaf' evokes feelings of passion, nostalgia and just a touch of melancholy. It works best with generous amounts of heartfelt rubato.
