Today is the day! 🎉🎉🎉
I start uploading the ENTIRE Tchaikovsky's ballet "The Nutcracker" in his own piano arrangement.
I have been told so many times that my hands are like little ballerinas - so finally I decided to play the part 100%. The piano fallboard will serve as a stage, the fingers.... oh well, I could not let the little ballerinas dance naked 🤣🤣🤣, so I had to come up with little tutus and leotards - made out of gloves (and paint for technically trickier moments) and a bunch of hair bows from kids store and Christmas tree toys from a building supply center for further decoration. A LED light strip for "stage lights", a "disco" bed light for some extra special effects, a phone with a good camera, a nylon string... everything is literally on a shoestring budget that can be done in any place, anytime - just use your imagination.
I do hope that this idea - and the music itself will be picked up by piano students and piano teachers everywhere. The music is too good to be true, it is written for piano well enough for even a beginner to tackle some most beloved pieces (oh well, some are devilishly hard, but this is for another instalment of the story 😎).
