This whimsical waltz is from Tchaikovsky's Op. 39 "Children's Album". I find Tchaikovsky's smaller works such as these are just as precious as his more well-known orchestral works.

I prefer to interpret this waltz in a lively and fiery mood. On the other hand, a gentle rendition can also be very charming, such as Valentina Lisitsa's recording: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TaP_NaVdlL4

As always, I couldn't help but improvise some extra notes when the main theme is repeated.
