At my first Doctor of Musical Arts piano recital, I play Waldszenen by Robert Schumann on a grand Steinway & Sons piano.
Waldszenen (Forest Scenes), Op. 82 was composed by Robert Schumann in 1848-1849. In the nine movements there is introspection and extroversion, somberness and humor, loneliness and an exuberant party, suspense and friendliness, a joyous arrival and a fond farewell, and more.
