The title of the composition says it all. This is the piano I learned how to play on, the piano my sister learned how to play, and the piano my mother learned how to play on. It is now officially in my possession, so I figured a video on it was in need! This was my learning instrument from the ages of 8-14, until my dad purchased the Yamaha P-120 as an early Christmas gift in 2004 when I was 14. That was one of the happiest days of my life... 🙂 Here is a piece to commemorate the ugly beauty this old (over 60 years) piano produces!

What other kind of music do you think I could play on this? Scott Joplin is a definite-- as a young child I danced around the room to my mother playing Scott Joplin, and eventually I ended up sight reading the entire Scott Joplin repertoire when I got older :). Great stuff!!!!

Thanks for viewing guys, it's always a pleasure to play for you, and thank you so much for your continuous love and support!!!

Your Pianist,
Kyle Landry

If you were wondering, a fan of mine looked up the serial number for this piano to find out it's history!

Kyle, just looked it up in the book I told you about and your piano was built in 1964 according to it; an interesting fact, is that Ivers & Pond factory in Cambridgeport (Boston) was closed in 1950, so your piano was made in a Factory in Memphis instead, whose office was situated in Boylston St. no 114; and also the wood used in your piano, is a wood with a high quality -spruce- 🙂 I hope I've helped you :))
Greetings ;)"
