I've been working on transcribing Kyle Landry's incredible arrangement pretty much since September and I really don't know how it's December now. I only did it in little bits and pieces, as I don't have much time for anything right now unfortunately and it was quite a challenge to figure out what exactly was going on in Kyle's performance. I stuck as close to his arrangement as I could, but am aware that some parts differ. That's either because I liked my own variation more or simply because I really couldn't figure out what he was doing (particularly the left hand arpeggios in the chorus). That being said, I'm pretty happy with how this version turned out. I didn't try to recreate Kyle's performance but gave it my own spin and applied different dynamics. Generally my version is a bit softer I would say.
Ni No Kuni is everything Final Fantasy stopped being after X. Plus, on top of that, it's co-created by Studio Ghibli and features original music by Joe Hisaishi. What could you possibly want more? It's my favourite JRPG of the last 10 years and next to The Last of Us my GOTY 2013.
