« SUPER SLOW » Rachmaninoff Prelude in G Minor (Op. 23 No. 5) [BachScholar]

Découvrez la vidéo "SUPER SLOW" Rachmaninoff Prelude in G Minor (Op. 23 No. 5) de BachScholar sur Le Fil YouTube de Piano Partage.

ATTENTION: This is a re-upload. I recorded it again because the first upload wasn't slow enough. It is a "tutorial" played at about half speed. As I discuss in my "How To Practice Slowly" video, half or 50% speed is the best starting point in perfecting "fast" pieces like this. My 100% speed for this piece is slower than most pianists, thus my 50% speed is also slower. Notice that ALL the musical elements are included in this slow performance, such as: articulation, accents, dynamics, pedaling. Piano students who aspire to play this piece should try to strive for perfection in attaining ALL the musical elements rather than focusing solely on speed and getting it "fast" at the expense of losing the important musical elements. The great pianist Jorge Bolet said "nothing ruins music more than sheer speed".
